The Drums and Percussions Concert themed “Resounding the Spirit of Vietnam” is an art production of Le Quy Duong Company.
The program congregates the essence of music through the performance of drum and percussion instrumentalists, resounding in the magnanimity of national traditions from the sonority of bronze drums from a time as early as when Hung Kings founded the country, to the war drum sounds in the battles led by Tay Son Brothers, and then finally to the tenderness of drums in traditional operetta (Cheo) overflowing with love and passion for the homeland.
Twelve groups with different styles will deliver their performances at Nghinh Luong Dinh. The round main stage decorated with designs on Dong Son bronze drum will be flanked by 100 drums, representing 100 children of Lac Long Quan and Au Co, also known in Vietnamese Legend as the Dragon King and the Fairy.
